- Dennis Lawnmowers Available
- Dennis mowers from the late Malcolm Hemley's collection are now available for Dennis Society and Old Lawnmower Club members to acquire but time is very short. The main challenge is that following Malcolm's death last year the solicitors handling his estate, having previously restricted access, have now decided that they will begin to clear the site very soon. This means that the mowers will be sent for scrap unless new owners can be found for them in the next few weeks.
- There are over 40 Dennis mowers dating from the 1920s/30s through to the 1960s/70s in various states of repair. These are generally "non-runners" and several are incomplete but there are plenty of spares so it may be possible to find "missing" parts to make up a complete machine. In addition, there are approximately 15 machines from other manufacturers.
- We have been liaising with the solicitors and has visited the location of the collection in Dorset with other club members to assess what is there. The photos below give an idea of what is available.
- Access to the site is restricted but it is possible to visit by prior arrangement. Seb has offered to co-ordinate with the solicitors if anyone is interested and would like to view the mowers.

- Cart Marking showcases a truly unique collection of transport dating from the horse and cart to the latest, cleanest, greenest, and safest in use today. The London regulation of carts dates back over 750 years to the early days of the City, with the ceremony of Cart Marking evolving over time. Today we bring all that history back to life with a modern twist at our annual event, held each July. You will see handcarts, horses and carts, horse-drawn carriages, steam engines, military vehicles and motorcycles together with historic, vintage and specialist vehicles including the latest, powered by electricity and hydrogen, on display.
